How to Install WordPress Step by Step

WordPress is defined as an open-source software that allows the modification and creation of digital content without charging a massive amount of money. It is based on MySQL and PHP. It was released by Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little on May 27, 2003. Free Software Foundation released WordPress under the GPLv2 license. Installation Method

  • Download the WordPress installation package

This is the first step of installation process. In this step, you have to download the WordPress from its official download page. Try to download and then install the latest version of WordPress as it will keep you updated and you will stay ahead of your competitors.  Once you press the download button on the download page of WordPress of the latest version of WordPress, the installation package will be stored in your hard disk.

  • Extract the downloaded file of WordPress to a new folder.

  • Upload the WordPress Files to Your Server

Click the ‘let’s go’ button right away. Now put the details of your recently created MySQL database and submit them. Now WordPress will check your setting. If the details that you have entered are correct, a confirmation screen will appear. If not, then WordPress will ask you to fix the settings. If you get a confirmation message, then click on the ‘Run the install’ button.

Almost done. Now just write down the title of your new website and your administrative username. Apart from that, be clear whether you want search engines to index your website or not. After you fill all this information, click the install WordPress button. Do not forget to provide your real email address and do remember your password.
